Unveiling the Whispering Angel experience: British Airways’ newest luxury offering for UK business travellers

British Airways has opened its exclusive Whispering Angel rosé bar, located in the airline’s lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 5B, offering a superb experience for UK-based business travellers.

Setting a new standard in luxury, British Airways becomes the first airline to feature a dedicated Whispering Angel bar. Passengers can now indulge in a chilled glass of this renowned rosé, hailing from the esteemed vineyards of Château d’Esclans in Provence, France, prior to their flight.

The inauguration of the Whispering Angel bar serves as the initial phase of British Airways’ lounge refurbishment project, set to unfold throughout the summer season. Travellers can anticipate a refreshed ambiance with new and reupholstered furniture, as well as an improved layout, enhancing the overall comfort and convenience of the lounge.

British Airways has also introduced Rock Angel, the elder sibling of Whispering Angel, in its First cabin, further enriching the airline’s wine menu. This exciting addition allows passengers in the First cabin to savor a more robust and structured rosé experience.

Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating,

What’s more, the opening coincides with the exciting news that customers now have the option to pre-order Whispering Angel across all short-haul flights, to take the experience with them, from the ground to the skies

In addition to the Whispering Angel bar, British Airways’ Club (Business Class) lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick offer customers the opportunity to savour The Pale rosé, crafted by the same winemakers behind Whispering Angel.

Whispering Angel is currently available in British Airways’ Concorde, First, and Club lounges.

British Airways continues to expand its premium drinks selection, having recently appointed a dedicated Master of Wine, one of only 415 worldwide and believed to be the only one in the airline industry.

Elevating the onboard wine experience, British Airways introduced four new English Sparkling Wines in March 2023, available to Club World passengers on a rotating quarterly basis.

Notably, the current Champagne offering is the esteemed Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Silver Top Non-Vintage Champagne, accompanied by an exclusive English Sparkling Wine selection.

Whispering Angel, with its delicate Provençal pink hue, captivates discerning palates with its sun-kissed creamy flavors of peach and raspberries, complemented by refreshing citrus undertones and a smooth, dry finish.
